Saga of Women: An Oblivious Truth!!

Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a theory in psychology given in 1943, to define the innate curiosity of human at various stage of human growth. Parallel to his theory other theories were also given by various psychologists and researchers, with partially agree to each other and focused to classify the desires and need of human with subsequent growth like age, life style etc. etc. Starting with Maslow need chart.

At every level, Maslow tried to explain the need of that group and connectivity to individual need.

Every human being, try to fulfil daily needs, he works to earn money, desire to earn of more motivate to work more, so their work profile depends on their skills, education. At some stage of life, we all desire to earn easy money, lots of money in shorter period. Lots of money to spend, to enjoy every kind of luxury of life. In Indian mythology, they have a goddess of money too, named Ma Laxmi, and consider her worshiping is auspicious and fruitful.

Money, I mean to say about "Artha" "Dharmashya mulam artha arthashya mulam dharma:" certainly it is very important for day to day life, and arise the question about the process, how will I earn money? The easy way to get pleasure is a track of great sorrow, and prostitution is one example of this.  Prostitution is not a new business it is in existence before the birth of Lord Shree Krishna and Rama. What were the motivating factor for its existence. How was it started?? Why was it started? is it wrong ?? certainly, it must have flooded your brain with similar question. So, lets try to find out the reason.

Certainly, it all started at physiological need, Perhaps, may be when a child was hungry and a mother with dried breast has nothing to feed. Perhaps it was started when money was invented to trade, to exchange product or may be even before to that when money was not there. Women, which always considered being helpless and vulnerable since the life exist, Perhaps because of these reason “Saint or Snob”, Tulsidas quoted in sundar kand,

“Dhol Gawar Pashu Sudra aur Nari ye sab hai taadan ke adhikari”
Dhol-Drum, Gawar-Illiterate, Pashu-Animal, Sudra-Lower Caste People, Naari-Women

In my opinion these words represent the lunacy of ‘Tulsidas’, certainly such comments on women motivate the male or powerful to push women in such doings. Evil was there and colossal if compare to today’s time. And along the time when this exchange of goods for food were changed to exchange of women. Trade of physical pleasure, where women were considered as object of fun, birth a market of thirst for Intimacy. What else a women could do, if her only child is dying because of hunger, she must have hesitated before her sacrifice for crying child before to make-up herself to intimate with a stranger and that was the day she got idea to make easy money in man oriented society. It all would have started with need and later it altered in profession as she would have known the easy way to earn.

There is a story in the ''BRAHMABAIBARTA PURANA" that Lord KRISHNA's wife RADHIKA was equally parted in two parts, from her right part goddess Laxmi was born and from her left part Apsaras of heaven were born. Those Apsaras were nothing but entertainment mode of heaven. As for example Rambha, Menaka, Urvashi etc. They were cited as prostitute of heaven and time to time they had to satisfy Demigod of heaven and Rishis of the earth according to the direction of the king Indra, the lord of heaven. Such a apsara's child was shakuntala. Who was the mother of the king BHARAT.

There was a tradition in Indian temple that unmarried girls were willingly sent to god for marrying and to serve pujari of temple. God was never there to marry and every bit of harassment/mental-physical were assigned by Pujari.  Being the God's wife, they can't be marrying to anyone. But God did not come to sleep with them, so the advantage was taken by priest of the temple. Those innocent girls are called as DEVDASI. They can make sexual relationship very secretly, but they can't be mother of any child. Every need of them is fulfil by trusty of the temple or the priest or by the king of the state.

History is filled with such stories, Mourya era is called as golden era of Indian history, and story of Chandragupta and chankya tells how Chanakya defeated his competitor ruler with help of women and named Bishkanya in that time. Expert with every art of love making, singing, dance, intimacy etc to seduce the mankind. Again, Powerful king/man was responsible, who forced and renders those women to do so. Story of Cleopatra, Musaliny and Elizabeth are perfect example. If anybody became prostitute for the greater interest of her own motherland then she is most welcome to the civilized society.

Kothas of Luckhnow and Baizees of Kolkota are not new to anyone, Indian film has depicted the changing culture and lifestyles of kothas and all with time, how they were indulge in process of making money by singing, dancing and by intimate-amusement.

Casting couch in film industry for role, intimate relation with boss for progress/promotion, a young college student to achieve her dream, such incident are not new to listen and are breakfast updates for all of us, and can be defined as prostitution too. It’s everywhere and one cannot deny this need of human as among the priority. Right or wrong is individual perception but important is awareness of such thing. But these type of  steps taken by girls for self esteem needs are wrong deeds and should be initiated to stop.

Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata, u named a place and u will find such place, not only in India but overseas too, and it has become a whole industry, which employee more than 10lakh women. It is full of crime where innocent brought to have forced relation; girls on traffic-signal, begging on road side are the victim of routine abuse for such incident. While In India it is illegal and has punishment for such act. Having sex is not all wrong, but safety and precaution are mandate in every relation. these women too deserve respect as

I personally feel, in man dominating culture of India, where whole country is divided on the name of cast, colour, religion etc., we should help and support every individual woman to grow, educate and learn the good things in life. A woman is equally important as man, as without her, birth of life is unfeasible.

Before birth and after death there is no such thing called “God”, if he exists than it would not have been the situation. Every principle cited in religious books or similar are the dictations of powerful to divide and rule.  –Manish Solanki

“Love and respect woman, Look to her not only for comfort, but for strength and inspiration and the doubling of your intellectual and moral powers. Blot out from your mind any idea of superiority: you have none.” --Giuseppe Mazzini
